David Lee Brueggemann, 76, of Parliament Lane, Delavan died at Zilber Family Hospice in Waukesha on Sept 10,2014 after a battle with ALS. David was born January 17, 1938 in Milwaukee,WI the son of Hubert Gustav Brueggemann and Ruby Ellen Froemming. David married Sandra Lee Loewe June 27,1964 in Milwaukee. David was a letter carrier for the U. S. Postal Service for many years.

Richard Kropacek
Richard Frank Kropacek, 89 longtime Delavan area farmer died at Rosewood Manor in Delavan on Sunday, July 13th after a long illness. Richard was born January 21, 1926 in Chicago, IL. the son of Frank Kropacek and Bessie Marcek. He married Polly Hosek Sept. 15, 1951 in Riverside, Illinois. Richardwas a World War 2 Navy Veteran. Longtime farmer and member of the Farm Bureau. He belonged to AARP, Charter member of the VFW and a member of the National Patrolman’s Association. He was an active member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Delavan. He is survived by his wife, Polly. 3 sons, Richard (Debbie) Kropacek , Frank (Barb) Kropacek both of Delavan. David (Sandy) Kropacek of Minn. Minn. 1 dau. Cindey (Ben) Nelson of East Troy,Wi. 13 Grandchidlren and 16 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services and military burial are yet to be scheduled. IN Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to DAY IN TIME of Lake Geneva.

Delavan–Kathryn E. “Kay” Heldt, 94 currently of Ridgestone Village, Delavan died there on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Kay was born Jan. 12, 1920 in Plymouth, CT. the daughter of Charles H. Byles and Elsie L. Dyer. She married Raymond J. Heldt, April 5, 1941 in Chicago, Il. Ray predeceased her in 2009. Kay was a active member of the UCC-Congregational Church of Delavan and its’ Shalom Circle. She was active in the Delavan Service League and Meals On Wheels. Kay is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Derek) Gracey of Mukwonago, Wi and one son Raymond (Barb) Heldt of Janesville, WI. 1 sister, Elsie Flasher of PA. and 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Ruth and one brother, Theodore. Funeral services will be 12pm Thursday, October 2,2014 at the UCC Church. with the Rev. Laura McLeod officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 to 12noon Thursday at the Church. Betzer Funeral Home of Delavan is serving the family.

Alfred Gregory Rodenbeck D.D.S., 64 of Marietta Drive, New Berlin died in Newnan, Georgia of an apparent heart attack. He was attending a Civil War Re-enactment. Greg was born July 12, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI. the son of Alfred Frank Rodenbeck and Eleanor Helen Lewindowski. Greg was a graduate of Marquette Dental School and had a dental practice in New Berlin. He married Carol Cribben, Oct. 27, 1979 in St. Andrews Catholic Church in Delavan, Wi . His daughter, Erica will post a life story on this site soon. Greg is survived by his wife, Carol. One daughter, Erica of New Berlin and his mother, Eleanor Rodenbeck of West Alliis, WI Funeral services will be 11:30am at Holy Apostles Catholic in New Berlin with the Rev. Don Thimm officiating. Burial will be at 3:30pm in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Delavan,Wis. Friends may call at the church from 9am to service time. Memorials may be made to the : Kenosha Civil War Museum. Mary Louise Schlieger, 65, of Sugar Creek Twsp. Elkhorn, died at her home on Thursday night, Oct. 23, 2014 after a long battle with MS. Mary was born June 21, 1949 in Cranston, R. I. the daughter of John and Mary Martin Spellman. She met and married David Schlieger in Providence, R. I. in 1971. Mary was a licensed practical nurse and worked until her failing health stopped her. She is survived by her husband , David. 1 son, David of Elkhorn. Two daughters, Cyndi Schlieger of Elkhorn and Denise Schlieger of Beloit. 1 sister, Kathy Campagnone. Private family services will be 11am. Dolores was born May 7, 1927 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Alfred Abraham Wilner and Evelyn Josephine Rydin. Dolores worked for the Jewel Corp as manager of advertising. She is survived by 4 children. Patricia Anne Weber, Michael Charles Goode, Robert Jack Goode and Jon Laurence Goode. 6 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
