Sophia D. Loudon, 85, of Delavan died at Williams Bay Care Center on April 15, 2014 after a long illness. Sophia was born June 12, 1928 in Chicago,Ill. the daughter of John and Dena Glazos. She graduated from Walworth High School in 1948. She met and married Bruce Loudon on Sept. 3, 1953. Sophia worked as an inspector at Borg Instruments in Delavan for over 15 years. Bruce died August 7, 2007. She is survived by two children, a son, Michael (Sandy) Loudon of Clinton,WI and a daughter, Kathy (Jody Mullis) Loudon of Delavan. 2 grandchildren, Tim and Kelly. 2 brothers and 1 sister predeceased Sophia. A gathering will be at the Betzer Funeral Home from 9 to 11am Monday, April 21st. Graveside services will be 11am at Spring Grove Cemetery. Betzer Funeral Home is serving the Loudon Family.

Evelyn Dixon
Evelyn J. Dixon, 81, of West ST. Elkhorn and longtme Delavan Resident died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville, WI. Evelyn was born March 1, 1933 i Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Roscoe Blaine Stewart and Ida Belle Witham. She married Robert J. Dixon, Sept. 5, 1953 in Indianapolis, IIndiana. Robert predeceased Evelyn Sept. 10, 2005. Evelyn was an active member of the UCC-Congregational Church of Delavan. She was in the Shalom circle of the church. Most of her working life, Evelyn was a child care provider. Evelyn is survived by two sons, Daniel (Carleen) Dixon of Elkhorn. J. Scott (Jane) Dixon of Pardeeville, Wi and one daughter, Patricia (Wm) Sexton of Delavan. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers, Everett, and Harlan and 3 sisters, Helen, Annabell and Kathleen. Funeral services will be 11am. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the UCC-Congregational Church in Delavan with the Rev. Laura McLeod officiating. Burial will be in the Church Garden. Friends may call Monday, April 28, 2014 from 5 to 7pm at the Betzer Funeral Home in Delavan and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials to the Congregational Church are suggested. Beverly Bohs Lester, 76, of Inlet Oaks, Delavan died at St. Lukes Medical Center, Milwaukee on Wed. April 30,2014. Beverly was born October 26, 1937 in Milwaukee,WI the daugher of Ervine Bohs and Lydia De Grave. She married Larry Lester, Sept. 26, 1964 in Delavan at the United Methodist Church. Beverly was a member of the Delavan United Methodist Church, and Former Mbr of the Delavan Twsp. Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She was a sharp Euchre Player and loved her family. Beverly is survived her husband Lawrence, 2 daughters, Lisa (John) Wingren of Sun Prairie,WI and Susan (Todd) Metcalf of East Troy. Four grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be 7pm Sunday, May 3th at the Delavan United Methodist Church wit the Rev. Stan Curtis officiating. Entombment will be 9 a.m. Monday at Roselawn Memory Gardens, Delavan Twsp. Friends may call at the Methodist Church on Sunday from 4 to 7pm. Memorials to the Carbone Cancer Center at U of Wisconsin or the Methodist Church are suggested. Marilyn Grace Aldinger, 67, of Delavan died Wed. April 30, 2014 at Lakeview Specialty Hospital in Waterford, WI. Marilyn was born Dec. 27, 1946 in Chicago, Ill. the daugher of Joseph Boncimino and Beatrice Marie Olson. Marilyn was educated as a special education teacher. She was a active member of the Delavan United Methodist Church. She married James Aldinger June 29,2002. She is survived by her husband Jim, 4 sisters, Pat (Hubert) Bonciminio of Chicago. Grace (Pete) Obradovic of Orland Park, IL Kathie Weissmuller of Antioch, IL and Karen Weissmuller of Evanston, IL 1 brother, Joseph (Eve) Boncimino of California. Edna Louise KOHNKE, died at Williams Bay Care Center on Monday, May 12, 2014. Edna was born Feb. 25, 1918 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Sigbourn A. Leire and Marie O. Christensen. She married Joseph Edward Kohnke August 16, 1941 in Chicago. Edward predeceased Edna in 1996. Edna was a member of the Williams Bay Lutheran Church and the Williams Bay Women’s Club. She was an avid shopper. She is survived by 5 Children, Sharon Yanz of Williams Bay; Warren (Donna) Kohnke of Lake Geneva; Wayne (Phyllis) Kohnke of Hoffman Estates, IL; Gordon(Terry) Kohnke of Roselle, IL; Debbie (Ron) Swenson of Delavan. Nine Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Gudron, Elsie and Florence. Memorial Services will be 11am. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Williams Bay Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jeanette Stranjord officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 to 11am. on Saturday. Richard Frank Kropacek, 89 longtime Delavan area farmer died at Rosewood Manor in Delavan on Sunday, July 13th after a long illness. Richard was born January 21, 1926 in Chicago, IL. the son of Frank Kropacek and Bessie Marcek. He married Polly Hosek Sept. 15, 1951 in Riverside, Illinois. Richardwas a World War 2 Navy Veteran. Longtime farmer and member of the Farm Bureau. He belonged to AARP, Charter member of the VFW and a member of the National Patrolman’s Association. He was an active member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Delavan. He is survived by his wife, Polly. 3 sons, Richard (Debbie) Kropacek , Frank (Barb) Kropacek both of Delavan. David (Sandy) Kropacek of Minn. Minn. 1 dau. Cindey (Ben) Nelson of East Troy,Wi. 13 Grandchidlren and 16 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services and military burial are yet to be scheduled. WI. the daughter of Louis Gratz and Mary McKillip. She married Wm. F. Davy, April 19,1947 in Belvidere, IL. Bill predeceased her in 1977. Ethel and her husband owned and operated DAVY BROTHERS TAVERN in the Delavan Inlet for many years. She graduated from Blandchardville High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursiing. She was not only Registered Nurse but also a proficient muscian. She is survived by 2 sons, William, Jr. of Wisconsin, Harold Richardo of Oceanside, CA and daughter in law, Nancy Richardson of Delavan A son Robert is predeceased as is her husband Wm. Donna was born September 1, 1932 in LaFarge, Wisconsin the daughter of Floyd Griffin and Helen Nora Olsen. She married Edward Smith, who predeceased her Christmas Day in 1994.
